The Morning Center is an example of a client who needed a fresh new look for their site. This was in conjunction with the launch of a 2nd location. Traditionally, pregnancy care centers provide services like pregnancy testing, ultrasounds and educational classes. The Morning Center has dared to dream big as they partner with pregnancy care centers and churches to take the care provided to women in need to a whole new level. Nonprofit clients depend on me to make their ideas a reality in a timely fashion. Sometimes they have needs that just can't wait.  These challenges require me to roll up my sleeves and push through until the project is complete. Here are some examples from my experience.

• After the 2011 Joplin tornado hit, a client called needing a website developed that they could use to help organize cleanup efforts. The tornado happened on a Sunday and the site needed to be up by the following Wednesday. With hard work, the site was launched in less than 3 days.
• CityServe came with a request that required a quick turnaround. Their new book was soon to launch and they needed a promotional site built quickly. The site was launched on time, meeting the 2 week deadline.
• When COVID-19 struck the world, churches like Victory Church in LA needed to move fast to adapt to the lockdown. With church services moving online, they wanted their live stream video displayed on their home page during service times. Within just a few days I was able to automate the process so that the video player was displayed on the home page at the proper times. Another challenge was to create a life group directory for the new virtual life groups they were launching. Again a quick turnaround was needed. The following day I was able to launch the new virtual life directory. The custom directory included options to sort by day of the week and filter by category.

Just like your car, your website requires regular maintenance and updates. Neglect it for long and you'll likely run into issues. Hiring a professional to help you maintain your site doesn't have to be expensive. Champion Cowboy Church in Hockley, TX is an example of a church with a small staff that takes advantage of the discounted maintenance plans I offer to keep their site updated from week to week. Other organizations like Victory Church located near New Orleans, LA have larger needs. Often churches like Victory have several sites that need to be maintained.

Site security is often overlooked by nonprofits. This requires monitoring for when security updates are released and applying them quickly. At times it can be a race to get updates applied before a hacker can exploit a new vulnerability. Hackers have been known to begin attaching unpatched sites within hours of a new exploit being announced to the public. Protecting my clients sometimes means working though the night.
